On Friday April 20th, the students and staff of Durban Avenue participated in the 3rd annual Autism Walk-a-thon hosted by Special Education Teacher, Ashley Miller.

The entire school walked 2 miles around Durban Avenue in celebration of Autism Awareness month. As a whole, the school raised over $1,000 to donate to Autism Speaks NJ! The students really enjoyed themselves, as they sang and danced their way around the school. Jayden Bodre was overheard telling Mrs. Miller "that was so fun, this was the best walk-a-thon I've ever done!"

The students should be very proud of themselves for participating in something so special. Planning has already begun for next years walk!!
