The theme this year at Tulsa Trail was “Read for the Gold”. Tulsa Trail held its Book Character Parade on Thursday, March 1st in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

Students and staff were encouraged to dress as their favorite book character. The students enjoyed participating in the parade!  A winner was chosen from each class and received a special certificate and lunch with Mr. Byrne! An Olympic torch was created and awarded to Mrs. Barroqueiro’s class for having 100% participation.

In addition, the students transformed the library into an Olympic Reading Stadium and families were invited to come and read with his/her child throughout the week.  It was a great way to show our love of reading here at Tulsa Trail School!
