Tulsa Trail School was full S.T.E.A.M. ahead on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Over 200 students demonstrated their love for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics at the school’s 14th Annual Science Expo.
Funded by the Hopatcong Education Association through a Project PRIDE Grant, all students who participated received a medal and certificate.
Through an investigation using the scientific method, students conducted experiments at home with their families and presented their findings to classmates during the day. After school, all projects were put on display for families, teachers, and community members. Over 150 families attended with a total of over 500 visitors.
Project PRIDE, sponsored by the New Jersey Education Association, began in 1994. The goal is to share the success of New Jersey’s public schools and build community support and involvement.
