According to the official records from the Knee Deep Club (LDC), the following are the winners from this weekend’s Trout and Pickerel Contests.
There are plenty of trout here with the State having stocked twice already and are expected back again this week. In addition, the Knee-Deep Club stocked over the weekend, adding over a thousand more trout.
Dows Boat Rental reports the ice on Lake Hopatcong is still between 6 to 8 inches.
The Knee Deep Club will hold the second 2018 Ice Fishing contest on Sunday February 11, 2018. The contest will begin at 6 AM and conclude at 4PM.
On Sunday, April 22, 2018, the Knee Deep Club will hold its trout fishing contest on Lake Hopatcong. The contest will begin at 5:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM.
The Knee Deep Club held their first Ice Fishing contest on Sunday January 21st, under sunny skies and warm weather. The overall ice depth was between 8 and 10 inches, which was enough to support the contest safely.
Sunday April 22, 2018 the Knee Deep Club will hold a Pickerel contest on Lake Hopatcong. The contest will begin at 5:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM.
As reported by Dow’s Boat Rental: The ice on average is still about 8 to 10 inches. Shorelines had opened some with the recent rain, but with the colder weather has frozen these areas again. Be careful!
Lake Hopatcong conditions show a possible early end to ice-fishing on the lake as ice breaks and thickness falls to about 4 inches.
The Knee Deep Club that is over 1,000 Members strong, just released their calendar of events for the 2018 season. The first event starts January 21st with Ice Fishing.
Due to Ice Conditions, the Knee Deep Club third 2018 Ice Fishing contest on Sunday March 4, 2018 has been canceled.
Michael Wallace of Highland Lakes, NJ won the American Bass Anglers RAM American Fishing Tour, Division 10 Tournament held September 10th, 2017 on Lake Hopatcong.
