Again, the popular Lake Hopatcong fishing contests scheduled during May, which draws fisherman from around the State, will have to await another year based upon the need for social-distancing.

The Knee Deep Club continues to be concerned that holding these events during this period of social distancing and protecting the public from COVID19 would not be correct or safe.

“The Knee Deep Club regret's this action and hopes all your fellow fishing partners understand this is in the best interest of public safety during the pandemic of Covid19.

The Knee Deep Club will assess what action will be taken for our activities scheduled in June 2020 at a later date.” Richard Everett, Trustee Knee Deep Club

The Knee Deep Club has canceled the following activities for May 2020:

  • Panfish Challenge scheduled for May 3, 2020
  • Spring Walleye Contest scheduled for May 16 & 17, 2020

The Knee Deep Club will make a decision on our planned activities for June 2020 and advise you on that decision.

Thank you.

Rich Everett Knee Deep Club Trustee
