The museum will be open this Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM. In addition to all regular exhibits we will be featuring a special small exhibit of items found during the archaeological survey at the former Camp Tegawitha site in Hopatcong. This area is more commonly known these days as the home of the eagle’s nest.
You should have received your second newsletter and program notice last week. Please note that the July 5th program is almost sold out. We expect it to be sold out no later than this weekend.
Please note we are again teaming up with Lake Hopatcong Cruises this season. Captain Lee Moreau has come up with ideas for a special homes cruise in late June and historic hotels cruise in September, in addition to the monthly historical cruises. We are happy to provide free tour guide service as these cruises have become a wonderful way to spread knowledge of the lake’s history.
The Lake Hopatcong Sail & Power Squadron will hold its annual Blessing of the Fleet this Saturday, June 17 at 11:00am. This is always a fun event. Just bring your boat over to the docks at the LH Mini Golf course at Nolan’s Point.
