Hopatcong Farmers Market – Features a jam-packed Local Services Day

This Sunday was another jam-packed day at the Hopatcong Farmers Market as they hosted multiple local services organizations that provide support and services across our lake community.

Introduction into Community Service Day:

Councilwoman Marie Galate

Helped kick off the activities as she outlined the services teams at this event, and what is coming up in the near future.

Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHF):

Marty Kane the Chairman of the Board for the LHF outlined to visitors all of the important activities coming up for the foundation:

Laurie Kane spoke for the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum and outlined to visitors all of the important activities coming up:

Hopatcong Community Garden:

A community garden is a plot of land that is gardened collectively by a group of people. Each gardener leases a plot on the land and tends to it. What they bring in and grow is theirs to enjoy, consume or share with others.

Hopatcong Municipal Alliance:

The goal of the Municipal Alliance is to develop a state-wide network of community based prevention programs. The programs are funded by municipal grants from the Drug Enforcement Demand Reduction Fund. These funds are from fines collected from drug and alcohol offenses.
