As initially reported by Katie Moen with the New Jersey Herald, The Hopatcong Board of Education voted recently to approve a $146,000 efficiency audit that will examine the nature of current administrative operations throughout the district.
The intention of the audit, according to a request for proposal that was submitted by the district to 10 consulting firms on June 8, is to "identify areas of administrative inefficiency within the current system, be provided with comparisons to best practices and recommendations for implementation of corrective action plans."
The contract was awarded to Public Consulting Group (PCG) during a regular meeting of the school board on June 28.
PCG, based in Princeton, was the only firm to return a bid within the designated time frame.
