If you are looking to get off the couch, make new friends and get a good workout in a fun environment, then Country Fusion and line dancing with Elizabeth Mooney is for you!

Country FusionAs we think about starting an exercise program, most of us think about expensive gym memberships, and long boring hours spent trying to get into shape. Thanks to Elizabeth Mooney and her creation of Country Fusion all of that has now changed.

You can now workout in the relaxed atmosphere of your local bar, or at one of the regular classes at Dream Dance Studio. And while working out, you’ll meet new friends that are very welcoming and ready to help if you need assistance. If you have two left feet and feel uncoordinated as I do, don’t worry, you can go at your own pace and make the moves that are comfortable to you at your own entry level.

In speaking to Kali and Ronnie, two members of the class:

“Everyone remembers when they just started, you’ll find the other members ready to assist you if needed. It’s important as you first get started to go at your own pace and have fun. But more importantly be patient with yourself! No one is there to judge – just have a good time! We’ve been doing this for over a year, and it’s changed our life for the better! It’s so much fun you don’t even feel like you’re working out!”

Two Different Classes are Available:

Country Fusion1) Local Bar/Restaurant Classes:

Currently these are being offered at Alice’s and Patrick’s Pub, and last about 2 hours during which Elizabeth will teach various songs, and break down the different steps. Participants can wear regular street clothing and cowboy boots or other footwear. The line dancing lessons are open to all ages. There is no cost to the attendees for these sessions.

Kaitlyn Reynolds a member of Country Fusion commented.

“In the past when I went out, you’d never find me on the dance floor, now I go out there since I feel comfortable and confident based upon what Country Fusion has done for me.”

More about the Country Fusion Instructor:

Country FusionAt the early age of two years old Elizabeth Mooney started to dance on stage, and has never looked back to second guess her lifetime goals. Starting at 16 years, she was already teaching the kids and choreograph dances for fun. At age 23 Elizabeth  became a certified fitness instructor and later went on teach Ballet, Latin, Ball Room dancing Zumba, Pole Dance, Pound, Zumbatonic, Barre Assets, and training in BOSU, Bootcamp, HIIT, and Cardio Tai Box.

Elizabeth continued on to choreograph Wild Cherryz Burlesque, where she served as the choreographer to six beautiful women. Under her leadership at that time, the company garnered an impressive resume of performances that include America’s Got Talent Season 6, Mercedes Benz fashion week, The Gong Show Live at BB Kings, as well as a featured segment on Sirius XM Radio.

So how did Country Fusion get started?

Elizabeth relates, “As Country starting to get more popular, I found there were no real classes around for this routine, so I choreographed an example version for one of my classes, and the class loved it. So, Country Fusion was born, based upon my vision of a full country routine as a workout.

Fast-forward to today, and we find that Country Fusion is going Nationwide, after becoming an approved provider of Continuing Education Units (CEU) by athletics, Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). There is interest from new instructors from New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Georgia, Wyoming, Texas and even Ireland. Currently, there are 15 instructors certified, and Elizabeth has the goal of reaching 100 by December of 2017.

In Elizabeth’s own words, “Country Fusion is a lifestyle, inspiring the mind, body, and soul.”
