As you read the Facebook pages of the First Responders within this lake region, the strong community support and recognition is a theme that continues to persist!

Some of the stories behind the images:

On September 16, 2016, Jefferson and Kennedy Elementary Schools participated in “Thank a Police Officer Day." Chief Palanchi stopped by both schools to pick up all the letters, pictures and cards and he visited each class and thanked them personally. The Police Department was overwhelmed with all of the nice things these wonderful kids wrote. Above are a few of our favorites!

On October, 6th, 2016, one of our officers was returning to his vehicle from a call and discovered this on his windshield. Thank you to whoever took the time to leave this for us. It is hanging in Headquarters!

On October 6, 2016, 4-year-old Kailin stopped by to drop us off goodie bags she made for us. Thanks, Kailin!

On October 12, 2016: “We wanted to thank these cute kids for being so kind, as they dropped off homemade muffins to us over the weekend.”
