An original piece commissioned by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s Stage Exchange program, A BETTER PLACE TO BE brings together the immigration journeys of two young women. First that of TGS Founder and Executive Director Stephen L. Fredericks great-grandmother’s voyage to America in the late 1800’s and that of a young Syrian girl coming today. Weaving poetry, music and folktales from each time and place, the play celebrates our similarities and opens the door for a better appreciation for our differences.

Please assist “Daughters of the American Revolution” in assisting injured US Military Personnel with their recovery. Roxbury Diner will donate 10% of what you pay for your meal to Project Patriot. You must bring the form with you – they can be picked up at Roxbury Recreation. Gift cards will be sent to injured American Military Personnel during their difficult rehab & recovery.
The Samples are more than a band – they represent a culture of fans and music that go beyond who happens to be playing in the band at any given time. Based out of Boulder, CO, this alternative rock group infused with reggae, pop and folk influences have been selling out venues for over 25 years.
On Dec 11th Officer James DiStasio was seriously injured on duty. Street Hassle and Jim’s friends of will be hosting a benefit on Feb 23rd 2019. Advance tickets will be available starting Friday afternoon Jan 4th. “Jimmy D” has always been the first in line to support his community. This is our night to give back.

A beefsteak dinner will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong). The annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Jefferson Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local 190.

Boy Scout Troop 111 is hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser to help the troop cover expenses such as trips and new equipment. In addition to pasta, the dinner includes salad, breadsticks (donated by Olive Garden), dessert, coffee, tea, and iced tea.

Puppy Rescue Mission Dine to Donate at Stone Water
Join us on Wednesday, February 27th from 5-9 p.m. for a dine-to-donate evening with Puppy Rescue Mission (PRM). PRM is a 501c3 organization dedicated to fundraising, pet rescue, fostering, and re-homing when needed, in particular for pets of soldiers, especially those deployed in war zones. Stone Water will donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to support PRM in fulfilling their mission. There will also be a silent auction and PRM items for purchase.

Roxbury Township’s Main Street Committee invites you to help support their fundraising efforts to continue the beautification of Main Street in Succasunna.
Memorial/honorary engraved bricks are still available for sale. The bricks are installed in the courtyard surrounding the Victorian Clock by the Gazebo at the Library.

Based on the classic novel, Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo, and the classic Broadway stage show of the same name, Les Misérables is the story of 19 years as a prisoner, Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) is freed by Javert (Russell Crowe), the officer in charge of the prison workforce. Valjean promptly breaks parole but later uses money from stolen silver to reinvent himself as a mayor and factory owner. Javert vows to bring Valjean back to prison.
Eight years later, Valjean becomes the guardian of a child named Cosette after her mother's (Anne Hathaway) death, but Javert's relentless pursuit means that peace will be a long time coming.
