The museum will next be open on Friday evening November 3 from 5:00 to 8:00pm with a special salute to the Lake Hopatcong Breeze newspaper which was published from 1894-1982. Vintage copies of the Breeze will be available for purchase.

Get your tickets now for Roxbury High School’s Performing Arts fall drama, All in the Timing! Ticket reservations are now being taken for this fast approaching show. This production will take place on Thursday and Friday, November 2nd and 3rd with show times beginning at 7 p.m. in the Roxbury High School Auditorium at 1 Bryant Drive in Succasunna, NJ. Tickets are $10 each and going fast!
All in the Timing is a collection of six one-act plays by David Ives. Each comedic short deals with relationships and the role that timing plays in their success or demise. In its entirety, the show touches on historical figures and events, classic literature, foreign language, classical music (audible mathematics), and scientific experimentation. Basically, something for every discipline!

Rerestoration of the historical Lake Hopatcong train station in Landing remains on track, a beefsteak dinner, with a rich history of its own, will be held to support the project.
The dinner, hosted by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, 6 to 9 p.m., at St. Jude Parish Hall, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong. In addition to the dinner, the event will feature a short presentation on the history and restoration of train station, a basket raffle and a 50/50.
For over 25 years the Harry Chapin Band has delighted fans of Harry’s music with it’s stunning portrayals of the songwriter’s most loved songs (Taxi, Cat’s In The Cradle, WOLD, Mr. Tanner, Mail Order Annie, etc). Steve Chapin and Big John Wallace have been making music together since 1955 beginning in Brooklyn NY’s Grace Church Boy’s Choir, which is also where Big John and Harry would meet.

The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 1 to 4 pm. Admission is free. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home. Featured this month will be the Museum’s display of vintage and antique quilts. There will also be new handmade quilts for sale from the private collection of Society members.
