Bus Trip: Lunch & Hilarious Musical Mystery
The Jefferson Arts Committee (JAC) is sponsoring a bus trip on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, NJ for a luncheon matinee of the new interactive musical mystery theater production Take Me Away starring Playhouse stars Don Amorosi as Sherlock Holmes and Mari Green as Countess Maximova.
Upon arriving in the dining room, a host of lively street performers will greet you and set the scene as if you are on the bustling streets of Covent Garden, London for a one of a kind, immersive dinner theater experience with a live orchestra!
Tickets are $86 per person which include round-trip motor coach transportation departing the parking lot of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road in Oak Ridge promptly at 9:45 am for an 11:30 am luncheon with a table served entrée (choice of Yankee Pot Roast, Fried Jumbo Shrimp Platter, Lemon Pepper Cod, Santa Fe Chicken, Roast Turkey with Stuffing, Eggplant Rollatini, OR Roasted Vegetable Kabob-Gluten Free). Meal includes salad, potato, rolls and butter, dessert buffet, coffee/tea, tax and gratuity. A cash bar, a bakery, and a retail clothing/jewelry store are available on site.
Following lunch, the show will start at 1 pm, and you will be joined by world-famous sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, and his trusted mate, Dr. Watson, on a hilarious musical quest to solve one of his most baffling adventures… the mystery of love! A mind reader, mysterious countess, and magician are just a few of the suspects in this musical farce. Backed by a live orchestra, a cast of talented actors will sing and dance throughout this laugh-filled, lively show, while audience members may find they hold the clues to solving the mystery right on their own dining room tables!
Reservation forms are available on the Jefferson Arts Committee’s website www.jeffersonarts.org and on its Facebook page. Reservations must be made by February 24 for guaranteed seating, but tickets may be available up to the performance date. Worried about winter weather? Hunterdon Hills Playhouse has a no risk winter policy so if the JAC/bus company determines that the winter weather in Jefferson Township is not safe to travel, the JAC will be given a full credit for another performance date.
