RHS Performing Arts Department Presents the Roxbury Choir Faculty and Alumni Cabaret

The Roxbury Choir Faculty and Alumni Cabaret will feature faculty members from the elementary, middle, and high schools in the Roxbury School District as well as alumni from 1991 through 2017. The night will feature a wide variety of musical styles including musical theatre, jazz, opera, and pop.

12th Annual Morris Township Turkey Trot

Read, Feed and Run! The 12th Annual Morris Township Turkey Trot offers runners and walkers a chance to fight hunger and promote literacy. The event benefits the Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center, and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County. The fun starts at Ginty Field Complex on Woodland Avenue in Morris Township.

Chatham Township’s 10th Annual Turkey Trot

Volunteer emergency responders and diabetes charities are the beneficiaries of Chatham Township’s 10th Annual Turkey Trot that takes runners through the Highlands section of Chatham Township.  Funds raised benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Diabetes Research Institute, the Chatham Emergency Squad and The Barton Center for Diabetes Education. The race takes place at 110 Van Houton Ave., Chatham Township.

Thanksgiving Thursday from 11am to 3pm in Mount Arlington 

Celebrate Thanksgiving where all can be thankful including the animals that won't be on our plates.

All are welcome. Free to attend, but each participant is to bring a vegan dish to share, an ingredient card, any needed serving utensil, and their own reusable place settings to avoid waste.

Teacher Holiday: Hit n Run Sports Center – Day Camp for Kids

On holidays, teacher in-service days, and seasonal breaks, Hit n Run Sports Center runs day-off day camps. Campers will get to try out a variety of different activities from intramural sports to fun, themed relay races and more!

Day Camp is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12, with half and full day sessions available.

Christmas in the Village Offers Many Shopping Opportunities

This year, the Jefferson Arts Committee is excited about the Village Market Place Vendors that will be set up at Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1’s firehouse at 162 Milton Road, Oak Ridge as part of the 13th annual Christmas in the Village event.  

These vendors will be offering beautiful and useful arts/crafts/merchandise items and open for business from 10 am to 4 pm. Shop for yourself or for gifts for Christmas or special occasion gifts.

Santa is coming to town… Jefferson Township that is!

It will soon be that time of year again when children everywhere anxiously await the arrival of Santa Claus, and the Jefferson Township Recreation Department will help fulfill those dreams even before December 25th arrives!

So gather up those eager children and join Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Rudolph on Saturday, December 1 at the Community Lodge at Camp Jefferson located at 81 Weldon Road.  Santa will visit with the children from 10am to 3pm (note that Santa & Mrs. Claus will take a lunch break from 12:30 to 1pm) and hand out candy canes and good wishes.

Jefferson Township Museum: A Gingerbread Christmas

“A Gingerbread Christmas” is the theme of this year’s decorations.  The Museum is decorated by members of the Museum Garden Club and the Jefferson Township Historical Society.  Docents dressed in period costumes will be on hand, and hot mulled cider will be served outside by the pot-bellied stove on the banks of the brook.  Mrs. Santa Claus will be making an appearance.

Roxbury’s Home for the Holidays festival

Come kick off the holiday season on Main Street in Succasunna on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 11AM to 4PM at Roxbury Township's 4th Annual Home for the Holidays street festival.

This event helps to raise funds for the continued beautification of Main Street.  You can shop, eat, meet Santa, listen to music and take a carriage ride with jingle-belled horses! Admission is free.  We'll have food trucks, vendors selling unique gifts and strolling carolers singing holiday songs. Explore "Santa Land" inside the Library from 1PM - 4PM where you can get a photo with Santa, hear holiday book readings and do fun crafts. The churches next door will be open offering hot drinks and homemade treats.
